This book aims to investigate recent research outcomes and theoretical developments using feminist theorisations and frameworks regarding the multiple forms of sexual violence. The book addresses issues such as the naming of the subject as ‘violence against women’ as it fails to recognise the interconnectedness of the abuse of children, and the importance of eliminating sexual violence as a long-term goal by recognising the patriarchal structures of which many of the prevention and protection systems are embedded in. Feminist researchers and contributors are essential for creating strategic approaches which tackle gender-based violence, or violence against women.
