Bradshaw states that the post 2015 sustainable development agenda attempts to combine environmental sustainability and development. The article also outlines that there are clear gender equality terms used in the goals, however, there is a lack of gender equality in climate and environmental goals and climate change is presented as gender neutral, focusing on the planet and not on the people. Examines how the Hyogo framework wanted to integrate gender perspectives into all disaster risk management policies, yet did not integrate gender into the framework itself, only mentioning gender twice. This led to the Sendai Framework.
