This article introduces the special issue on Gender and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The issues includes contributions from women’s rights activists and advocates of different backgrounds, some of whom have been involved in the negotiation process leading to the adoption of the SDGs in 2015. They assess the relevance and potential of the SDGs in regards to gender equality and feminist struggles.
