This new website aims to become a library of resources for anyone - students, researchers, academics, policy makers, wishing to access information on gender in the fields of sustainable development, disaster risk reduction, humanitarian action or climate change mitigation and adaptation.

The Gender and Disaster Network was founded in 1997 and has over 1000 members across the world. 

The Mary Fran Myers Gender and Disaster Award recognizes disaster professionals who continue Mary Fran Myers’ goal of promoting research on gender issues in disasters and emergency management.
