Women, Gender And Disaster: Global Issues and Initiatives (working title). This is an international collection building on the knowledge gained over the past decade and addressing some of the knowledge and practice gaps at hand. Elaine Enarson, Canadian-based disaster sociologist with a focus on social vulnerability and gender, and Dhar Chakrabarti, Delhi-based manager of the National Institute of Disaster Management, are editing the collection.
